PIMATISIWIN: A Journal of Aboriginal and Indigenous Community Health
The first four issues of Pimatisiwin are now complete. The inaugural issue, published in conjunction with the official launch of the Alberta ACADRE Network in the fall of 2002, focuses on the question, "What is Research?" as it relates to Aboriginal communities. The second issue, published in March 2003, focuses on the question "Ethics in Research". Pimatisiwin content covers all Aboriginal health topics: sociological, psychological, medical, anthropological, experiential, methodological, qualitative and/or quantitative in nature.
Pimatisiwin Vision Statement
Pimatisiwin makes training, knowledge, research, and the experience of researchers, health professionals, and Aboriginal communities available in appropriate formats. It provides a forum for academics, health professionals, and communities to publish research in a cross-disciplinary, cross-cultural setting, referenced and accessed world-wide.
Call For Papers
The Pimatisiwin journal is extending a call for papers. The journal accepts submissions on an on-going basis, based on submission guidelines.
Pimatisiwin is a collaborative effort of researchers, health professionals, and Aboriginal communities, all of which make up our editorial board.
